YLS Players – Yorba Linda Spotlight Theater Company

At Yorba Linda Spotlight Players we strive to provide a community space that inspires artists to reconnect to their creative passions and love of theater.

We are excited to partner with the City of Yorba Linda to produce meaningful, entertaining experiences for the local and surrounding communities.

Auditions

We will be producing All Shook Up for our our inaugural production! Please check below for audition FAQs and requirements.

Inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. It’s 1955, and into a square little town in a square little state rides a guitar-playing young man who changes everything and everyone he meets. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, this hip-swiveling, lip-curling musical fantasy will have you jumpin’ out of your blue suede shoes with such classics as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Hound Dog,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Don’t Be Cruel.”

Audition Date, Location & Requirements

Auditions will be held on August 6th at the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center. Callbacks will be on August 7th. Please check back or follow us on instagram @ylsplayers for more audition info & announcements. Auditions and rehearsals will all take place at the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center. All performers must be at least 16 years old. Please bring a headshot, resume, and prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show.

Is there a fee to participate?

No. There is no fee to participate in YLS Players productions.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will begin in mid-August and continue until the performances in October.

Performance Dates

All Shook Up performs October 11-20th, 2024 at the Virginia DeLand Theater at the Yorba Linda Cultural Arts Center.
