Fall Class Schedule

We are so excited for our Fall lineup of classes and shows! Our classes are offered as a series of 12-weeks of instruction, taking holiday breaks into account. In signing up for a class, you are committing to participate for the full series. Check out the class descriptions below and click on any picture to be taken to our registration page.

INTRO TO DANCE (Mark Vavra)  Want to get your child involved in dance but don’t know where to start? This class is for you! Creating a positive space that is all about learning how to move onstage, our instructor Mark Vavra shares his training and love of theater and dance, by exciting the kids about all forms of stage movement.
PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE (Mark Vavra)  Looking to expand your technique in the theater in every aspect? Join our wild and crazy acting coach Mark Vavra, who creates a judgement free and challenging environment for all performers. With focus on risk taking on stage, stage presence, group acting, and discovering characters- Mark hopes to cultivate performers that will book auditions and succeed in the business.
MUSICAL THEATER MINIS (Cassie Foster)  Learn the basics of Ballet & Tap with lots of Musical Theater fun mixed in! Taught by long-time preschool dance teacher Miss Cassie, this class teaches the basics of dance while also helping little ones develop their listening skills and confidence. It’s also the cutest class to be in the lobby for!
BROADWAY JR (Amanda Moore) Learn all there is to know about the world of theater! Taught by Spotlight alum Amanda Moore, this class incorporates the basics of all things theater- including song, dance, scene work, costumes, and prop and set building. Amanda is dedicated to make our little performers feel welcome and ready for the stage!
ACTING 101 (Katie Jo McCauley) Learn every aspect of the world of acting! Taught by vetran performer Katie Jo McCauley, this class incorporates improvisational acting, monologue work, scene work, and overall confidence building – whether it’s on-stage  or giving a presentation in class. Katie Jo also uses her expertise in audition technique to prepare students for auditions in the real world.
TAP (Bryan Kinder) Tie up your laces and shine those taps- its time for tap with Bryan! Bryan Kinder has been tapping since he could walk, and can’t wait to share his tapping passion with our students! Bryan uses his adaptability to cater the class to several levels of tap technique! Also be on the lookout for our Pop Up Drop In tap classes which we will announce on social media as they pop up!
MUSICAL THEATER DANCE (Bryan Kinder)  Go big or go home! This class will explore the world of character dance, driven by motivation and character development. Students will dig deep into the meaning and emotion behind each song and be given the opportunity to play and learn from each other as they interact through dance
JAZZ FUNDAMENTALS (Bryan Kinder)  Time for technique! It’s time to break it down and really hone some skills for the theater. Join our dance instructor Bryan Kinder, as your performer will peek behind the curtain on the technique and skill on how to execute a Broadway number. A perfect pairing with the rest of our dance classes!

 

STUDIO SHOW: NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Cassie Foster) One of our most popular classes! Our studio productions are a weekly rehearsal based class, that will actually put on a small-scale show at the end of the season. With more focus on the craft of the theater, students will learn the fundamentals on what it takes to put together a show, including acting, singing, and dance numbers- but also working with props, costumes, and set design. Based on the Disney & Tim Burton movie, Our Nightmare Before Christmas studio production will be directed by Cassie Foster. Cassie is excited to create a fun but challenging environment to get the kids ready for the big stage! Performans Friday, December 7th.
STUDIO SHOW: A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (Erin Clark) One of our most popular classes! Our studio productions are a weekly rehearsal based class, that will actually put on a small-scale show at the end of the season. With more focus on the craft of the theater, students will learn the fundamentals of what it takes to put together a show, including acting, singing, and dance numbers- but also working with props, costumes, and set design. Our Charlie Brown Christmas studio production will be directed by Erin Clark. Erin is no stranger to our studio, and is so excited to work with our “peanuts” on this production! Performance will take place on Friday, December 14th.
