AUDITION DATE May 1, 2024 – We are excited to be holding auditions for our big summer musical The Little Mermaid!

Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human Prince Eric in the world above, bargaining with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But the bargain is not what it seems, and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends, Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea.

Audition & Production Info

Performers ages 8-20 are invited to come and audition for our Summer production of The Little Mermaid

Audition Dates, Location, & Fee

Auditions will be held May 1, 2024 from 6-9pm. Callbacks will be held May 4th at 10am. Both auditions and callbacks will be held at the Spotlight Studio – 17451 Bastanchury Rd, Suite 102D. The show production fee is $475 and includes professional instruction, costumes, performance rights, materials, sets, props, theater rental and a show t-shirt.

Audition Registration and Requirements
  • REGISTRATION: Use the form below to pre-register for auditions and choose an audition appointment.
  • HEADSHOT & RESUME: Please bring a resume and headshot or current snapshot to your audition.
  • SONG: Please prepare 1 minute of a song of your choosing that best showcases your voice and bring an accompaniment track.
  • DANCE: All auditioners will be required to dance so please wear the appropriate clothing and shoes.
Rehearsals & Performances

Rehearsals: The Little Mermaid will rehearse Monday-Thursday from 6-8:30 as well as some Saturdays. Please list all conflicts with those days in mind. All performers will not be called to every rehearsal.

Performances: The Little Mermaid will tech and perform July 29th-August 4th at the Placentia Yorba Linda Performing Arts Center. Conflicts during tech week and shows will not be accepted.
