Summer Show Auditions

AUDITION DATE May 9, 2025 – We are excited to be holding auditions for our big summer musical 9 to 5!

Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?

Audition & Production Info

Performers ages 13-21 are invited to come and audition for our Summer production of 9 to 5

Audition Dates, Location, & Fee

Auditions will be held May 9, 2025. Callbacks will be held May 10th. Both auditions and callbacks will be held at the Spotlight Studio – 17451 Bastanchury Rd, Suite 102D. The show production fee is $475 and includes professional instruction, costumes, performance rights, materials, sets, props, theater rental and a show t-shirt.

Audition Registration and Requirements
  • REGISTRATION: Use the form below to pre-register for auditions and choose an audition appointment.
  • HEADSHOT & RESUME: Please bring a resume and headshot or current snapshot to your audition.
  • SONG: Please prepare 1 minute of a song of your choosing that best showcases your voice and bring an accompaniment track.
  • DANCE: All auditioners will be required to dance so please wear the appropriate clothing and shoes.
Rehearsals & Performances

Rehearsals: 9 to 5 will rehearse Monday-Thursday from 6-8:30 as well as some Saturdays. Please list all conflicts with those days in mind. All performers will not be called to every rehearsal.

Performances: 9 to 5 will tech and perform July 28th-August 3rd at the Placentia Yorba Linda Performing Arts Center. Conflicts during tech week and shows will not be accepted.

Conflicts with all rehearsals need to be approved before casting. Any conflicts during tech week and shows will not be accepted.
