Auditions December 15th, 2023 – 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Performers ages 14-20 are invited to audition for our Spring teen musical 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

Auditions January 2024 – Honk Junior

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.

MUSICAL THEATER WORKSHOPS

Every class session we have a whole new lineup of Musical Theater Workshops for ages 4-16! These workshops do not require and audition and can be registered for on our Classes page at the beginning of each class season. Our MT Workshops are a weekly rehearsal based class that hosts a small showcase at the end of the season. With more focus on the craft of  theater, students will learn the fundamentals of what it takes to put together a show, including acting, singing, and dance numbers- but also working with props, costumes, and set design.
