Dana McMenamin has been performing for over 25 years. She grew up in musical theater, which catapulted a love for singing, dancing and playing instruments. Dana has been playing the piano for 20 years, guitar for 15 years and has briefly dabbled in drums and bass. She served as the worship leader of her church for 6 years, leading an entire band each week, while also heading up the sound tech. Dana toured all over the U.S. with the California Baptist University Women’s Choir for 4 years. She got to study vocal performance and music composition and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Dana worked as a cast member at the Disneyland Resort for 7 years in the educational entertainment department, having the privilege of creating, training, and leading numerous programs to students from all over the world on subjects like leadership, music, physics, animation, culinary arts, and brand marketing. She currently serves as one of our musical directors (her favorite production that she worked on HAS to be “13: The Musical”) while also teaching at Life Pacific University as a professor of Public Relations. Dana specializes in classical, jazz & Broadway vocal stylings as well as helping her students improve their vocal range and stamina. She is a huge fan of vocal health and preserving the beauty of each person’s voice through her exercises and teachings. Dana is passionate about helping her students find the confidence & courage within to be the best performer they can be. She lives by Victor Hugo’s quote: “Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” Dana believes music has the power to heal and to change lives, and she can’t wait to work with you!
